Hmmmm Would a bad/disconnected/broke safety relay allow the tractor to still crank but not full fire?

Roadworthy, I know, but it takes time to purchase and get those items shipped. I have set a timeline in my head for this project and this is an unfortunate time suck. Good idea on tracing out the fuel system from a parts diagram though.

So here is where I stand... I do not believe it is a safety relay because when I crank the engine, it fully cranks (when I flip the PTO on, and try to start the engine, the safety relay trips and the engine will not turn over, same with putting it in gear). I have drained the tank, taken out the water fuel separator and replaced the filter (though it seemed clean) and replaced it and buttoned everything back up with fresh diesel and some hotshot extreme. When I crank with glow plugs, white smoke out of the exhaust, when I crank with ether (I got the green light from my father in law to try it) there is a deeper sounding firing noise (almost a knock like my old 2cyl Yanmar in my John Deere) and I get black smoke. I have tried to crank it both with and without a jumper pack and am currently recharging the battery for good measure. All the fuses look good.

Any other ideas out there? Is there a cutoff for low oil? I checked the oil and it seemed fine, but maybe a wire or connector got pulled and it is tricking it? Solenoid someplace that good of gone bad? I can hear the fuel pump clicking on and off when I have the key in and turned to the first position.

You are right the motor will not turn over when a safety switch is triggered, I would suggest making sure your fuel filter is not plugged.

AGCO has parts diagrams for the tractor, Fuel Login and it looks as if there is a oil pressure switch Login

You should be able to login as a gurst and not have to go through a dealer, I've never went through one.

So I can confirm fuel flow to the pump at the bleeder screw but can not get a stream at the injector itself. Does that mean the high pressure pump isn’t working?

Thought I would provide any update on this. Dealer finally had to take it in...

Their first thought was bad high pressure pump as they could not get fuel to flow through it. took it off, sent it to a specialty shop, checked out fine. They then found an issue with the governor plate, corrected it, which then allowed fuel to flow again but still were unable to get the tractor to fire. They then found issues in 2 of the 3 glow plugs and had a low compression in 2 of the 3 cylinders they had managed to test before they managed to snapp off a glow plug while trying to remove it. so now the entire top end is torn off. Compression was not due to a headgasket so they ended up tearing apart the whole thing for new pistons and rings and rehoning the sleeves. to say I'm getting taken to the cleaners is an understatement. and they STILL can not tell me why the tractor died in the first place (low compression or not, it was running, and running relatively well). Final bill has not been tallied but I am 100% sure I will be taking any future work elsewhere.
