MF 1440V

Need some help! Newbie questions!!! Can anyone give me some info on the MF 1440V. I can't seem to find anything on the internet. I am assuming that it is a 40hp? What is the reliability of this machine? Does the "V" have any signifigance? Any information would be appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It is 40 engine horse. I have had my MF1440 for 1 1/2 years and have absolutely no problems and I use it hard everyday on my poultry farm. The "V" stands for value. It is the model without all the bells and whistles.

Thanks for the info! How long are have 1440s been out? What would a fair price be for a used 1440 with fel? (Condition looks good)

Mac is right, the 1540 is the new model. But that is not all there is on the lots right now. There are still a lot of 1400 series out there. You might even get a real good deal on one. As far as the price on a used 1440 goes, it would depend on location, transmission and other options.

I am looking to trade up to 1440v with oversized R-4s and 1525 loader. I was priced $16250 for the tractor R-4s,joystick option and $3800 for the 1525 loader That includes rear tires loader, quicktach HD 60" bucket.

P.S. I have been wanting to know if the turbo makes a difference, also can you hear the turbo whistle like the bigger tractors????
