Well I did it, purchased the 60" King Kutter tiller for my 1528, and used it today. and it did a wonderful job, on a 30'x30' garden. one thing I did learn, was that, I can'T  bury the thing on the 1st. pass. seems maybe a sub-soiler may, be useful in the future making garden, with hard ground
But, I was still impressed with the results that I got.
I just thought some of you might like to know:eek:

Hi David, I envy you with your new tiller.... :)

I would advise as you have found out , first pass on virgin soil you have to take it easy or she might bounce around abit and heaven forbid you hit any stones....

What I have done in the past ,since I have an old plow is cut through the virgin soil a few days ahead of my tilling with the plow which takes care of any packed surface loosening everything up, then let it dry out a couple days before tilling which turns it to fluffy powder... Hopefully it won't rain hard and wash it all away:(

Sounds like your soil must not be frozen, hopefully mine will be ready soon...

Also for a 30x30 plot its just gettin warmed up ,hope your gonna do more than that...
