Really looking forward to trying them out, was hoping he'd have a 1643 and 1652 to try but it looks no like he's bringing in a 1635 and 1643, that's fine.

Out for a drive I happened by a Kioti dealer yesterday who was putting a DK35SE on a hauler for a show he was going to attend. Substantial tractor, castings are all heavy and the overall "feel" of the tractor was not bad.

All in all still a MF guy, going to be hard to move away from a brand that has been very reliable all year round for me these past 10 or so years.

You will be amazed at what the 1635 has tro offer. It is the same as the 1643, except the 35 has a 3 cyl. I am sure you will be happy with whicheverr one you choose.

I sat in one, a 1635 just like the pics, and it is comfortable, and drives nice too!! Everything is nicely laid out. Was going to pull the trigger on one, but my job is still sorta shaky, so I am holding off.

Still no word from the dealer on the arrival of the 1600's. Have emailed other dealers further from me and they all responded with the "given your location we recommend you deal with "blank" dealership as they are the closest to you". I would love to, all I need is for them to get one on the lot for me to get a look at.

Not sure if production based on suspected sales level has made availability of the 1600s difficult for dealerships or if the dealers are that reluctant to bring them on the lots over the slower summer months, and if unable to sell in the Fall then having to carry the product over winter months.

Makes it hard, not willing to buy sight unseen.

Mike, NEVER buy without trying. It is my opinion based on my experience. As you can see the name I use is Roger 4400...because I was dreaming of a Kubota L 4400, reading everything on it for 2 years....Just before buying I tried one and had such a deception ( engine vibrating, all the pedal on the same side, etc...) did'nt liked it at all, I went to the Massey dealer and bought a 1643 smooth engine running, more equipment and even less $$$. So my best advise go and try as many brand you can, compare and then compare and then ..;). ( and you will be back to MF :D maybe)). Good luck. Roger

Roger,

No plans to buy someting I can't get a look at and feel for. Have enjoyed looking at every colour out there (except white) and am going to wait until I do get an opportunity to see the MFs. Not in a big hurry, my 135 still does most everything I need done.

Just spoke with my dealer, he won't be getting any 1600s in until September, that's fine, I"m patient and have been doing everything I need to do so far with my 135.

I was told by local that the 1635 can't handle a mid mower with R4 tires installed, no enough room, anyone else hear the same?
