Hi All,

Was wondering what is needed to install a radio/CD in our MF 1635?? Do we need to buy a harness, or is it all there??

If its a cab tractor, the harness is there. However, there are only a few radios from your MF dealer that will directly plug in. Otherwise you can purchase a radio locally, cut off the factory connector on the tractor and splice the harness yourself.

Thanks. Yes, it is a 1635 Cab, and saw some nice priced MP3 cd's (Sony) in Walmart. So just cut off MF plug, and splice?

Thanks.

Hi Will,
You really should get one of the newer systems with bluetooth, ipod and HD Radio. Some of the radios with navigation (might not need on a tractor) have a small hard drive that you can store music on instead of messing with CD's in the cab. But the bluetooth for your phone is a must.

Check out Crutchfield.com or some of the others before you buy.

Update...

One for Power, One for speakers.

So will this direct fit??

No direct fit unless you get an overpriced, under impressive radio from AGCO. Get your test light out & find your constant power, ign. feed, & ground on the one plug, and the speakers should be on the other. You may have to get an antenna from your friendly MF dealer though.

what about a wiring harness??

The ones I've put in, the adapter harness didn't work anyway. None were AGCO radios, they were all from the local electronics place. Just used the supplied harness with the radio & made it fit by cutting the tractor ends & splicing.
