I just bought a new "2017" MF 1742, DL125 Loader, shuttle shift, seven days old and 6 hours on it, I am very disappointed with the quality, I've been moving fill sand around a new garage, as I lifted the loader bucket, "filled" I heard a noise, i opened the hood and noticed the fan blade is hitting the shroud, first problem. Now I went into the pile of sand to fill the bucket in the corner, so i could dump next to the garage wall, The dealer told me I can't do corner lift's because the loader will flex...... Now the quick release bucket will not come off, apparently its flexed from corner lifting? I owned a TC30 for many years and did corner lifts many times. no issues.

I've been saying since the 1700 series came out that their loaders were terrible and I can guarantee you that they switched to smaller buckets because the loaders weren't as good as what they replaced.

So glad I bought a 1643.

Wow, I am sorry. My 1635 has been a great tractor with 350+ hours on it now. I had been thinking about moving up to a little more hp but not so sure now.

Just curious, did you take your bucket off prior to this? My point is, if you did and it worked fine - then maybe the quick release is the issue. And if you didn't - maybe because the unit is brand new - the quick release is just "stuck" by paint or ????

Second question - why would lifting the bucket cause the fan blade to hit the shroud ???

I have no opinion about the DL125 loader compared to the prior - but I can tell you there is a vast improvement in the newer DL95 loader on the Massey GC1700 series - compared to the prior DL100 loader. Dramatic change in weight capacity, heavier built pins and good hydraulic lines positioning.

I have the DL135 loader on my 1758 and it seems strong. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Maybe bad advice, but have you tried lifting a corner bucket of sand using the opposite corner, maybe to flex things back? Try at your own risk of course !!!

Buy sn Alo loader - much better than the MF loader.

There are two companies that made loaders for Massey. . . . Both are U. S. Made. Ago is one of the two.

Whoever made the dl100 was a fine company but whichever one makes the dl95 loader is an even better builder.
