MF-235 Perkins Diesel
My timing cover is leaking oil from the top portion of it, I am going to have to change it and am curious if the cam or crank gear have to come out of off to change the gasket. I know it is going to be a pain but does anyone have some advice?

G'day and welcome:thumbsup:. Can you see if it is coming from the front cover or the plate that bolts to the block? If it is the front cover then all the crank/cam/timing gears remain insitu if it is from the rear plate then all the gears bar the crank and inj pump gear have to come off and the engine retimed. To pull just the front cover the harmonic balancer that drives the belts has to come off.

It is from behind the timing cover, between the cover and the block. Not looking good from what ya'll are saying.
