Thank you for your response. The MF 240 may be different than my 235.
I expected to see the old #46 seal when I removed the left and right pitman arm but not there…may be inside pitman housing?
See illustration Fig. 12 of Shop Manual.
Let me know or post photo of what you find.
I plan to remove snap ring but no further if not there
