MF 240 the ones with the shut-off solinoid on the pump

I have that type solenoid on my skid steer injection pump. If the wire connects with a spade plug the spade plug connection can get loose over time.
If the wire is near or being moved when you throttle up fast it would miss. If your solenoid wire screws on to your solenoid connection should be good.
I had trouble finding the cause of that issue. Its probably a long shot.

since there is no black smoke when this happens, it's probably running lean upon acceleration!..

There may be a second piece with another wire that goes to the pump. It's a wax motor that adjusts your timing.

There is a second temperature sensor with two tabs.

This temp sensor may be defective or the wax motor may be defective. Most likely the wax motor. Pumpguysc is familiar with this stuff as well. Post a picture of your pump if you can.

The #'s off the pump nameplate is required.
I would start w/ the air system 1st.. Take the air cleaner out of it & see if it still does it..
Is this a gravity fed fuel system or does it have a supply pump on it.??
When were the filters changed last?? if u dont know, change'm..

I would follow pumpguysc's suggestions.
I don't think a wax motor is used on this tractor.
