I have a 2706e Hydro that pulls/runs a 6' bush hog great for about 15 minutes. After that, it bogs down and barley keeps the RPM at 1500. No lights come on saying the engine is hot or anything. Any ideas on what is causing this? I'm not mowing anything crazy, just a field that might have 2' tall grass. It doesn't matter if I mow w the deck all of the way down or all of the way up. It just can't keep up once the engine warms up.

How long has it been since you changed the fuel filter??
I once had a tractor that did almost the same thing. It turned out to be a leaf in the fuel tank that kept floating over the fuel outlet. I had to beg with a kid, until I talked him into reaching through the fuel inlet and grabbing it, to get it out. lol

Funny enough I just changed the hydro filter and engine oil filter today. I actually have new fuel filters too but didn’t change them today. Will try tomorrow.

Check to see if the fuel tank is venting...either through the cap or a vent line. A mud dauber could have plugged the vent or it is pinched. If you run with the cap loosened, it will tell you if this is the problem.

Does it bog down if you don't have anything attached? Just unhook the pro to the brush hog and then start the pro at whatever speed you set for brush hogging and see what happens.

So, the clutch is not slipping because the engine rpm drops after 10-15 min. It is not a fuel tank vent problem. No warning lights come on. Fuel filter was changed. If it were my tractor, I would check the air filter and blow out the radiator from the back side....just because. Then I would check fuel flow....maybe fill a quart container. Did it flow steady and strong and is there water or funky stuff in the fuel? Then..........

I'm thinking air filter, also. If it hasn't been changed for a year or more, that's what I'd try next.
Altho the air filter can go from brand new to plugged in a few hours in dusty conditions.

I don't run it full out like I do when brush hogging. Once it does bog down while brush hogging it days bogged down until it cools down. example if I turn off the PTO and drive back to the barn the RPMs do not stay up. Take foot off the pedal and and RPM quickly return to where it should be.
I did clean both air filters, they weren't too dirty. I cleaned the radiator screen but did not blow out the radiator, will try that next
