I think the button kit for the other fender is about $50.

Looking at the specs, I wonder why the M4 has a shift lever declutch button but, the M5 doesn't. The M5 also does not list the fender-mounted 3-point lift function as an option.

I live on the shifter de-clutch button. Very handy.
I wonder if not listed because theyre standard, not options?

The M5 91Hp 8-speed cabbed model I was in DID NOT have the declutch button. The salesman said it WAS NOT an option. I also don't see it listed in the specifications or options. I tried to spec build one and didn't find that option or feature listed either.

Is your tractor a 12-speed cabbed model? Those seem to have some 'farkles' the other tractors don't.

I think the 8 speed is the base transmission, right? Maybe its available on the 16 or 24 speed? That does seem strange....I would not like a straight 8 speed. Would want 12 minimum, preferably 16 or 24.
I’m assuming the 8 speed has a high & low range, though? Had a 9540 Dual speed which had a 2 speed “rabbit/turtle” powershift button. GREAT TRACTOR. Get yourself a 9540 Dual Speed with no emissions nonsense and a lot of nice features.

Mine are 16 speed almost full powershift with cabs. Theres an 8 speed transmission, with an electric declutch button and a hi/low range. Effortless shifting. The newer G models have the 24 speed.
16 speeds is more than adequate for my farming needs. I purposely bought M126/135x over the newer G to steer clear of the exhaust after treatment systems. They were suffering reliability problems when I was looking for tractors in the 2012-14 time frame. And they were cheaper since theyre an older series.
As far as farkles go, both of mine have cabs with small buddy seats, loaders with soft ride and remote hydraulic outlets out front. The 135X also has a cab adjustable hydraulic front suspension which is really nice.
Really like them both, but the M126x started leaking fluid from one of the bevel gear housings up front. Likely a bad seal. The 135x lost a PTO solenoid 2 months ago, that was a PITA to fix.
Otherwise been pretty good. 2500 + hours on each.

I think anyone looking at a bigger M should look at the older ones. Much simpler & cheaper run and to buy

Thanks Hay Dude! Super helpful. Yes, the 8-speed is the "base" model. The creeper and overdrive transmissions are optional. The 12-speed tractor does include things like the 540E PTO feature. The Shockless Ride accumulator on the loader is optional.

Pre-Tier 4 tractors around me are really expensive right now and a lot more expensive than a new tractor. And yes, at around 3000 hours, the emissions update is expensive.

If you have time and any interest in a used tractor, the 9540 Dual Speed is really sweet. It’s loaded with features. Also look for an M95x or M100X, which can be had with a 16 speed powershift for less than 1/2 price of the newer versions. These are excellent little tractors sans a few bells & whistles of the newer ones.
Very popular for haying and snow removal in Canada.

Shockless ride worth its weight in gold if you do a lot of loader work. Takes the jarring and jolting out of running across a field with hay bales or a bucket of dirt on a job site.

I hate loader bounce whether in a pasture or empty going down the county road to the next place. Loader bounce on a rough county road is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
