MF 491 Air Conditioner

I have a MF 491 with cab that blows our cool air but not "cold". I feel like the system needs some refrigerant added but haven't been able to locate the ports where you add any or test. Does anyone know where they would be? Thanks

yes they are located thru the plastic plug in top of the hood not real easy to get too but that will give you acess.

Thanks, I did find it. Ended up partially removing the hood for easier access. Hopefully recharging will fix it.

you probably done checked this but make sure your radiator and ac condenser are clean and free of dirt and debris.

If you look closely I believe there is a coolant hose that goes up into the cab - that is how the cab blows heat in the winter. However, that hose will bring engine coolant into the cab year around - you might want to install a shut off valve (gate valve/ball valve) in that coolant line and turn the valve to the OFF position in the summer time to make the A/C more efficient.
