MF-50 tranmission help

I just bought a MF-50 a few days ago and was in the process of changing all the fluids, after draining the hydraulic fluid, I decided to look in the bottom case where the pump is located and noticed two 3/8"x1 1/2" bolts and lock washers. I also found a tapper pin that is about 1/2"x1 1/2". I thought everything worked fine and am not aware of any problems. Where did these come from? I have ordered books but it will take a few days before I get them. Any help would be appreciated, I would like to verify everything is ok before I button it up and add fluid. BTW- I do not see a filter, does this model have one?

Hydraulic filter is located behind the circular cover (with the pto lever) on the left side of the center housing

I have reviewed that thread, which resulted in looking for the filter. I am thinking my 50 is one of the few that did not have one.
