MF 500 Series

You don't know about the 5470 then. It uses the 4.4 liter SISU 4 cylinder and is rated at 105 PTO hp. The 5470 is only available with a cab and the Dyna-4 transmission.

Come to think of it I did see one at the dealer the other day. You know a lot about the massey's, are you a dealer or a rep for Agco? I wonder why they switched over to the Sisu for that model instead of just using the 6 cylinder perkins. Do you know if the dyna 4 is available on all the 5400 series? Is it standard or optional?

In regards to your 1st question-let's just say I stay on top of such things (watch what MF has in Europe and you'll have a good idea, they're usually 6-12 months ahead over there).

I don't know why they are using the SISU other than they are trying to get a good power to weight ratio, plus the 5470 is a cheaper alternative to the 6475.

And yes, the Dyna-4 is optional on all of the 5400's except the 5470 where it is standard.

With AGCOs purchase of Valtra they also picked up SISU engines in the deal. Don't be surprised if that engine doesn’t start showing up in more AGCO products. They will more than likely have to keep using Perkins to a large extent but will also add a number of SISU powered machines.

Check out MF's Euro website (UK/Eire) it will show the 5470 there. The MF USA/Canada site is usually a couple months behind.

I checked out the Euro english site. Looks like they have some real nice stuff headed our way soon!! That new Dyna 4 on the 5400 sounds amazing. And being able to get a 5400 ( 5470 ) with over 100 pto HP is nice too!!
