I look at your diagram and get a bit lost.
We have the Perkins Diesel MF65
Our key switch does not appear to have the "off" designation, it has a hot start and run as well as start. Now it may have the hot start option turning the key all the way left. Our key basically slides in at the operation position and the start is all the way right.
The original oil pressure gauge has been replaced by a tube only pressure unit, so that is understood that it would not be in the mix.
We installed a new ammeter and fuel sending unit and were trying to get those gauges working.
Our alternator has a silver outside "pack" which I would think is some sort of diode pack. We have a two wire plug, one wire load, that goes to the starter, and some other wire coming off a smaller stud in the back of the alternator.
According to your diagram, are we supposed to connect the ammeter in series intersceting the positive feed from the load side of the alternator?
I did not see anywhere in that wiring diagram, the fuel sending unit's wiring, could that be addressed?
Thanks for the assistance.
