Buying Advice MF GC2400-- convince me

   / MF GC2400-- convince me #11
After posting this original thread, I got out to the dealers and looked at New Holland, Kubota, Deere and Massey Ferguson. After a few test drives, I ended up getting the GC2400, and it was delivered last week. I've put almost seven hours on it the last couple days moving some earth. Although the wife and I have had our discussions about whether we should have gotten something in the 1500 series, I think we'll be thrilled with this purchase for years to come.

Kudos on your choice Traction, the only problem I can see is you have way too much room in your garage - which means more attachments for the 2400 in the future for you :D :D :D. KC

I have the same tractor. I ordered mine with just the loader. My father has a full size backhoe so i figured i did not really need it and save the cash for another implement. I ordered the heavy duty power angle Dozer blade. I use it all the time. I leveled my yard in some areas with it and also to plow snow in the winter. it goes on and off in a snap. I also got the MMM 60 ". For that u drive the front tires up on 2 blocks 2x6 to raise the front end just a little off the ground. This allows the mower to slide under with more room and still hookup easy. I use the bucket all the time too. And I also got the 0% 72 month deal. No other brand has that deal going. Also remember the parent company is AGCO which make huge tractors for farming. this is a good company. Even though my family owns a farm and we always bought JD the Massey is right up up the if not better. Good luck its a great tractor. Jeff

Re: the 0% for 72 month deal.... looked today at my local Massey dealer...cash price for GC 2400/Loader/54" deck - $13750.00
0% price for same - $16550.00
That's one heck of an expensive 0 % deal. Is this what everyone else paid, or am I gettin' hosed?

I guess they are decent. You get a free loader if you pay cash. That's the reason for the price difference.

I like the Massey just for the fact that it has alot of FEL lift capacity and the power it has at idle. Makes work easier. i haven't used the back hoe yet. The FEL alone makes life alot easier.
