MF Loader Control Valve

Massey Ferguson 1455V with MF 1040 loader.

The FEL tilt function started having issues, I discover a break inside the control valve, the part that controls the spring function. The control valve is a Nimco these are the numbers on the metal label.

This valve has two cables that go to a fender mounted joystick, the cable ends have a plastic ball. There is a set stud with the same plastic ball inside the joystick that acts as the pivot point. Both plastic ball ends on each cable is damaged. I am giving all this information because I have purchase an entire new system. My question is do I have any options or do I stick with the original. MF dealer part number for the valve is AGC SL124068 and is over $1100, cables are another $300. I will go back to joystick or a two handle system. Would really like to get away from cables with plastic ball ends.

Replaced the Loader Control valve (NIMCO) with a 2 spool 14 GMP Prince LVR Joystick Loader Valve from SurplusCenter. I had a little trouble making the decision on which way to go since the original valve and cables were all broken. The Massey Ferguson 1455V with the MF 1040 loader presented issue with placement of the new joystick valve. I had a local shop build a couple of brackets and eventually mounted it on the left side fender. Had to replace 3 of the hoses for the new location, the 4 working port hoses worked fine. Also had to replace each of the fittings changing from 90 to straight. Changed fluid and filter during the process and now have a working FEL. It took a little getting use to left handed operations but working like a champ now. Many thanks to JerryG for his input.

This may be a little late but incase someone else runs into this issue. Our Massey Dealer here in Florida sells the replacement plastic balls for the joystick assembly. Ask you local dealer before you replace the entire joystick assembly or cables
