I have to replace the bushing on the front axle beam. Pin is worn, part of bushing is gone. Axle looks good - will braze the small worn area on the beam if needed.
Question is about the bushing. The beam is 1 1/2" thick so the 3/4 inch bushing only supports half the beam as engineered. wonder if that is good enough or could I improve it by installing bushings from both sides or something? This tractor has a front bucket on it.

G'day yes that was common when rebushing to put one in from both sides, the pin is hardened so I wouldn't braze new pins are avail aftermarket for not a lot of money

Thanks banjo, I meant brazing the small worn area on the axle beam if need be. I found a full 1 1/2" bushing on ebay. bought their last one.
