Hi Guys, my first post on this forum. Internet friend of mine in Malta just purchased a 1986 MF1010 and needs to know the correct oils to use in engine and transmission. He would also like to get an owners manual, do AGCO dealers still have them ? Any help you can give will be much appreciated.
Regards, JJ.

JJ, sorry I forgot to look at the manual last night :( got busy putting my new drill press together and lost track of my intentions. I'll try again tonight :)

Ok, finally got to the manual :( sorry again

For above 40 deg. F it recommends either SAE 30W or SAE 10W-30
For below 40 it only recommends the SAE 10W-30

The fuel injection pump uses the same oil, although it should only be changed every 300 hours or so.

For the tranny/hyd (and front axle if FWD) it recommends the MF Permatran, but says you can use any SAE 80W to SAE 90W oil. Note it uses the same oil (and even the same reservoir) for both the tranny and hydraulics. However if you have FWD there is a separate front axle reservoir.

Im not sure on the MF-1010 but on my MF-1040 the front has three seperate resevoirs. The reduction units on the left and right and the center resevoir.

Yep that's probably right, I've got the 2WD so I wouldn't know for sure :(, seems like I do remember seeing something about multiple drain plugs when I skimmed that section of the manual though

A separate reservoir as in the engine compartment or just the housing?
I see two plugs on top of the axles, one on each side.
