Hi folks, this is my first post here. I'm using an old and severely neglected MF 1140 to mow an overgrown field with a bushhog attachment, but the motor keeps cutting out. At first I thought it was the Mower/PTO placing too much of a load on the engine (5 acres of 4-foot weeds), but then the tractor cut out again when I was driving it back to the shed. When it cuts out, it sounds a lot like when you turn it off properly by using the Fuel Shut-Off Knob (very slow and gradual). On the 5th time the engine started to die, I depressed the clutch, put the throttle on minimum and pulled the fuel shut-off knob. Just before the motor came to a stop, I pushed the knob back into the running position and the engine sputtered back to life. Any ideas what's wrong? Thanks in advance!
