MF1235 won\'t start--safety switch on rear PTO?
While doing some brush hogging yesterday, either a lynch pin on the lift arm of the 3 pt broke or backed out somehow. When the back of the lift arm came up because of the weight of the mower it sheared 2 wires off a large bolt/nut that is mounted into the side of the PTO. Now the tractor won't start (won't even turn over) as though I'm trying to start it with it in gear. I'm assuming that those wires are to a safety of some sort that prevents you from starting the tractor with the rear PTO engaged. That nut appears to have 2 green and 2 red wires soldered to it (1 green and 1 red is what sheared off). Is that all it is? Just soldered on or is there something more to it?
Would love to hear anyones input!
thx,
