But what about using off the self items. Is it possible to use fittings to plumb out the system so regular hydraulic hoses would work. Thay way it if ever needs fixing again its an easy of the shelf fix?

I assume that the rupture is somewhere in the middle of the length so you have some hose to work with when you cut it in two. I checked my MF-135 and it's not difficult to remove those sterring hoses. I'd take the bad hose to a hydraulics shop and have them put on female fittings. Then use a male union to reconnect them.
