MF230 deaeal running problem

Tractor runs fine for 3 to 3 1/2 hours then rpm’s go up slitly then dies and will not restart until fuel system is purged an all air is removed from lines.

Strainer in the tank is missing or full of dirt?

This may sould silly but an electronic componet could overheat
and open causing fuel to be shut off!
I worked on TV'S for a while and this lady had this TV that would
shut off and then come back on. We had the darn thing for two
weeks and nothing happened gave it back to her no charge and
she came back with it same problem this went on for over a month
we never did find the capacitor that was the problem but we had a/c
and she didn't.
