MF35 Confusion and Rebuild

I am going to rebuild my Perkins Diesel. The serial number is CL 1856896 C. For some reason this number doesn't seem to want to cross over to a A3.152 Engine. Also, the injectors are straight up and down in the head but I am told this is an indirect injected engine due to the fact that it has energy ports which puts the fuel at an angle once it goes into the engine. Can someone help me out with what I have and what rebuild kit I would need and from where. Thanks!

May not need complete piston/sleeve/ring set to repair. Some Perkins had Chrome plated ID on cyl sleeves, if sleeves are not worn through chrome plating and pistons clean up OK just replace rings to restore bottom end compression wise. Blocks stamped with CL near SN means Chrome liners were installed in block originally, but may not be in now. Won't know for sure until head is removed. Also if chrome liners are used must use plain cast iron rings, NEVER put chrome rings in chrome liners. Have a S90 diesel puller with Chrome liners, still show no were at all on cyl ID. Is not bright plating like a car bumper but very hard and long wearing dull finish.

Interesting info. I took the head off and the liners certainly do not look like chrome and apparently when someone tapped them in, they broke about 170 degrees of material at the very top edge of the sleeve. THAT particular sleeve has a very slight lip to it so its not new. The other two lines look and feel fine. I am wondering if would be ok to just do one liner/ring set, assuming the other rings are ok. Where is everyone getting their parts from these days? I read to only use Perkins stuff but most of the kits I see contain Mahle and clevite items.
