I wasnt there when the previous owner did what they did so I have no idea what they were thinking, LOL...
I got the tire off the rim last night... What a butt kicking experience that was hahah... I was wore out. I took the core out of the tube and ran over the tire with my dually to bust the bead loose. Was easy since once side was already off.. I then tried to work the second bead off first with a big pry bar, and finally worked it off using a wedgie for the porta power.
After that I cut the welds for two of the tabs to reweld them in the right spot, and then I was going to fab two more tabs... Now I dont know. I measured the rim to be like a 9" rim if I remember right(inside of bead to inside of bead), so the 10" tire shouldnt have been blowing off unless it was damaged. I notice that the rim does have a spot where the bead is bent a little outward so maybe thats the problem, but other than not wanting to part with the money for a new rim shell I cant think of too many reasons to try to salvage this one anymore..

Here is a pic of one side(with the little one posing)

And a crappy angle of the otherside. I dont know why anyone would set it up quite like this on purpose.. I have an inlinking that the guy got a used tire on a 4 tab shell, and just had a brain fart when he decided to weld on the hub when he welded it on the wrong side..

Well, I guess as an update its getting a new rim..
The local dealer just called me back and is sending me new fuel filters, oil filters, and a hydraulic filter(incase I find one). Told him to throw on a new rim shell to the order while I was at it....

I'm working on getting my 1962 MF 35 back in working order. The lift had weakened to the point it wouldn't pick up the scaper I was using to move dirt around. I learned contaminated hydraulic fluid could be the problem, and sure enough, when I drained the fluid, it appeared as milky water. I read previously about checking the filter just inside the PTO lever plate. Another forum said the filter would be "wire mesh"...this one looked like more than just wire, what was left of it anyway. I was expecting "wire" and to just wash it out and reinstall it...no such luck. The filter is deteriated and needs replacement; and of course by the time I learned this, the parts store was closed. I don't know what filter to get though. I've searched through the internet, and can't get a real, no kidding part number. I live in a small town, and a 1962 tractor really isn't something the folks at the parts store are familiar with. Anyone know what filter I need? Also, on the left side of the engine, there are 3 filters. Anyone know of a diagram I can reference to learn which filter does "what". The tractor was my Father's who passed away recently, and I'm trying to keep his toy up and running smoothly, however, I am more accustomed to working C-130 Gunships than tractors. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

You need to start a new fresh thread (post) so we don't get confused with the one your currently attached to. There are plenty of experts in here that can guide you to what you need to do. There is a database online that shows parts number that AGCO dealer use. Go here AGCO Parts Books and use the GUEST login. Put your model and make in and find the 35 Tractor folder. You must have microsoft Silverlight to view the graphics. Silverlight is Microsofts custom PDF viewer. Find the page and print it out. It will printout a nice page with exploded view along with part numbers you can reference when calling about replacement parts. That website has saved me alot of grief many times. BTW Welcome to TBN.. Lots of friendly folk in here.

G,Day Boosted.
The 35 did not have a hydraulic filter when sold new but you could buy an upgrade filter kit which required a bit of drilling to fit,it is the same filter set up as the early 135 tractors with the Mark Two pump.
Regards.
