Price Check MFGC2410 TLB

Looking for any info on this model, doen't know much about it, have looked at BX25 and SC2450 in SCUT line.

Price from local dealer is 18975 for TLB financed or 17375 cash price.

Any help would be great!!

My dad has had 3 Kubota's over the years and my first SCUT was a BX1800 that I loved. When I decided I wanted a TLB the obvious choice was a BX25.

All I can say is I'm glad I the dealer was so set in his price 'cause it prompted me to look at JD, MF.

I have only had my GC2410TLB for about a month but so far I can find no fault with quality or design and I am very happy with the performance.

You really need to see one to apreciate it.

Kubota makes a good machine but I'm glad I made the switch.

I am looking at subcompacts myself right now. Here is my take on the GC's. Every model has pros and cons, but the GC does have a few stand out features in my opinion. The backhoe bucket has almost twice the capacity of the others, by far the best instrumentation (and backlit for night operation), the 3 point arms can stay on when the backhoe is mounted, best pedal arrangement of the 2 you mentioned, 72 month 0% financing available, and super strong hydraulics for a subcompact. The GC can pick the front wheels off the ground with the FEL while running just above idle. The BX25 I tested would hardly move the bucket at all at the same RPM.

The cons, again in my opinion - the seat sits kind of high in relation to the steering wheel. I wouldn't call it uncomfortable, but it is something that stood out when I demoed them back to back (JD takes the win here with the best ergonomics), the BX had smoother hydraulic control (not that the GC is bad), funky mower height adjustment (there is actually a chart for this), and it does not have the specific aftermarket support (less popular) that the BX enjoys. Also, around here anyway, there are not near as many Massey dealers as their are Kubota and Deere. I am concerned about getting needed parts in a pinch if I had to with the smaller dealer network.

I only briefly looked at the SC2450. It seemed like a nice unit, but 3 things that concerned me were the rocker pedal, the lack of a temperature gauge, and not knowing how involved MTD is with the available attachments. The snow blower mounted on a SC2400 at the same store did not seem very sturdy compared to other other brands I have looked at.

Your quoted prices are high if that is just for the TLB before taxes. I can PM you the quotes I got from a dealer on this website if you'd like. I'm not sure how he feels about them being posted publicly, so I'll refrain here, but I can tell you your quoted cash price is close to his financed price.

I've also been very pleased with my 2310. The 2400 and 2600 series' made lots of good improvements.

The "Big 3" all make good SCUTs, but the MF does seem to be a bit beefier, esp. in the backhoe area.

Thanks you for this info, PM the quote you did get. I have seen by other posting MF has a financed price and a cash price, this is the first time I have seen this. I am all so worried about dealers, not many in my area!!!

I am looking hard at the red and orange also. I agree w/ 6dog on all his points. The other things IMHO, in addition to the pros and cons he mentioned are, there are no hydro fan skid plate like the BX25 has It does have a filter guard that protects from below but is still open in front, so damage from the front is still possible. I understand the fan on the GC is fairly easy to change from below, if need be. Not so on the BX. I have read on here that you about have to completely disassemble the whole thing to remove the drive shaft! The hydraulic cylinders on the GC seem a bit larger also. The GC is heavier, and wider. I also agree the ergonomics on the JD are more comfortable and natural feeling. The Kubota seems a tad better than the GC. I like the GC analog gauges vs BX's digital tach, hr meter setup, some may disagree, but I like the analog. I too like the halogen headlights on the BX, not sure how bright GC 4 incandesants are. I dont like the GC hose stowage after you dismount the hoe, they kind of just lay there w/ a bungee holding them up. And I too am still concerned about the amount of Kubota dealers around vs Massey's. But whatever I decide to buy, I hope I don't need to rely on either ones dealership for service after the sale!!

I forgot to add the warranty on GC is now 3yrs. 2000 hr, rather then the 2yr it was. Which is also making for a hard decision. I am leaning towards the GC2610, the dealer has 2 in stock. I looked at the GC2410 but was too slow in my decision.

I've got the 2610, no real issues yet. It did have the pedal not returning to netural issuye but my dealer took care of it in short order. I was out with my Apache 240C chipper on it all weekend cleaning up from downed trees. Not even a hic-up with 3" oak, spruce or pine!:thumbsup:

I have looked and compared resale value of the GC vs. BX. Why are the BX's resale generally higher? And there seem to be very few of the used GC's for sale anywhere. Maybe nobody sells one once they have one!

The Kubota SCUTS have been around so much longer and they have built a good reputation hence the resale value. I think we are about to see a small shift as some other well known companies like JD and MF start to realy go after a market that was kinda Kubota's world for so long. Just like you see more full size farming Kubotas now when it used to be nothing but Red and Green farmers.

It's also getting harder to get good trade in at the dealers with all the financing. I think it people are trying to sell there 'bota's private in order to upgrade. There's a lot of B's and BX's out there for sale right now. I think the resale value is sowly dropping.

I was reading a post of a BX hydro fan being a pain to replace and the owner found numerous bolts either loose or overtightened including the motor mount!! Not saying that MF doesn't have there own probs. My boss knows a horse farmer that just bought a 40hp MF and has had it in the shop several times for different issues. Things just are not built to the same standards as years ago. Which is why I am doing extensive research on these 2 different manufactures,
So far I am really interested in MF.

Too high in my opinion based on prices I got from dealers out in this part of the country.

Or it could be that Kubotas are being traded in on GC's like crazy, which is why so few used GC's, and so many used Kubotas.
