Mice repellant

   / Mice repellant #11
I have one of those, found it in a wharehouse the was going to be torn down. Seems to work most of the time but I've had several mice cut in half jamming it as well.

I have a kitty that keeps most of them away. He eats the stupid ones.

Boy! What a bunch of different and great ideas. The neighbor's cat does prowl on occasion, but apparently not often enough. I don't want to poison any hawks or owls. The windup mousetrap has merit, as does the bucket of water with peanut butter. When my house is built and I get electricity, I like the idea of the electronic repeller. I'm going to have to mull this over. I guess the mothballs aren't going to get the job done. Thanks for the suggestions!

The electric repeller didn't repel what ever beast moved undre our place during the winter. The holes looked rat sized, so I tried rat traps. The monster under the house carried them all off, glue or Victor. I had a serious talk with the wolf pack, but they are just shinin' me on. The only squirrels I ever saw inside were reds and we have so many grays around that there couldn't be a red. It ain't a weasel either they stink! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Seriously, you could get/have a couple of "barn yard cats".

The only thing is, sometimes the Owls hunt the cat, but that is really a rarity. Put a small cat house for shelter and your mice problem is solved, guaranteed. G

Here's a stupid idea. Don't park in a field. I rent space from a neighbor near my property for $25 month, well worth it. He doesn't use the garage space and my machine is safe and clean. Cheaper than building a structure.

Slamfire,
The electronic repellers will not work very well thru walls and floors. Were the electronic repellers under the floor ?

I posted this picture of this device that sits on my tractor in another thread, but I will post it here too. It does a hell of a job on mice.

Ugh a cat! Had a stray sleeping on my tractor seat and throwing up in the seat, furballs, dead bird parts, etc...... no more kitty /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I (we) have 8 or 9 (depending on year and time) barn cats for the mice...went after a rat with a .357 (scatter shot), and blew a hole in the CFO's tack box /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Still don't know how I missed! Thankfully it was plastic and not too expensive -- haven't tried for any more rats, but am target shooting -- just in case! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
