I have a mice problem out in my shed where my JD 455 lives. I probably fire her up 4-5 times/week, even if to just give my little guys a ride. I'm noticing it sure doesn't take a mouse long to build a home in the engine compartment...a day or two and they move on in. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Do you guys have a solution for this? I've tried finding and sealing up any holes in the shed. I think I could trap them from now until the cows come home. I can't be the only one with this problem.

Want a cat, I have several that I will loan you till the cows come home, or they go to the great cat box in the heavens

Set up mouse traps that kill mice. Peanut butter on them works great. You will need to empty then on a daily basis till the supply of mice runs out.

You might try putting some mothballs under and around your tractor. It worked for me, keeping them out of my old truck.

I use "RoPax"...little green balls that contain massive amounts of Vitamin K...rodents eat the balls and go away and die...hardly ever find a dead one...now I rarely see a live one, and they used to be thicker than maggots around the quail pens/feed room...

I get it at the local Co-Op...doesn't seem to bother any of the other critters either! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We were having mice getting in the shop and house everytime we left the door open more than a couple minutes. I swear they would sit there and wait. The traps would catch them most of the the time pretty quick. Some I chased out and others got stomped on.

Then one day this super friendly cat showed up. Turns out he is quite the hunter. Rabbits, birds, pheasant, mice and bones/feet of what looks alike a turkey. Anyway NO mice since He's been around. Goooood Kitty!!!!!

I bought some bait/poison from TSC with a "petproof" enclosure. I leave it in my feedroom and haven't seen many mice in the grain bags. It seems to work well.

( I have to agree with the cat. It solved my problem. ) My cat is the problem. She keeps bringing things into the house to play with. So far I've rescued and released a blue tailed skink, a chipmunk, 2 baby bunnys, 2 cardinals, a sparrow, and a dozen or so mice.
