Bird, Note:
1. I got about 3 inches of rain and can't do anything in the garden or with the tractor.
2. I lied about my typing speed (Graduate of Christopher Columbus School of Touch Typing, Where you look for discover and land on the keys one at a time.) I do have to look at the keys a mite but I go at a pretty good clip.
3. I multi task, typically have 2-3 windows open to different places on TBN so I can write a post while able to look at the thread I may be commenting on. Saves time since when I submit the post there is a H U G E delay before that window is back in action. I work in another window instead of waiting. I frequently do searches in yet another window and hop back and forth to see the results and so forth. I know this isn't for everyone. There isn't any right or wrong way here just different ways for different folks or different circumstances. I don't always go at it like a pack of demons.
Most folks could probably do this, especially if they had the years of practice that I have had. In the olden days (late 1980's) I had a DEC 11-875 (I think it was) running VMS operating system. Didn't have multi-window capability so I got 3-4 terminals set up close together and a swivel chair on wheels. Sort of a primitive "WINDOS" operating system substitute. Edit on one terminal, have a compile running on another, be linking on another, and running the latest version of the application under development on another to look for bugs to edit, etc.
It would have been easier if I had had multiple personalities as I could have assigned one to each task.
Also I have been cutting way back on TV so I get more computer seat time while waiting for it to dry out so I can "Get to work".
Check out the post I'm abot to make on "Off topic"
