Mid mount cultivators

Anyone using midmount cultivators? I need to do some corn cultivating and was thinking about two different plans. One to try to attach some kind of cultivator to the JM 354 I already own, or try to find a older Super A Farmall or IH 140. I've seen one Super A listed on CraigsList, but no 140's. What do you guys think of the tractor choices? The people I help don't like spraying weeds and want cultivation done. bjr

I bought a 1951 Super A last Nov off craigslist. $1300 with a mid-mount 6-ft sicklebar mower. No cultivator, but it has a 3pt hitch. It was used by CalTrans for ditch mowing (hence the safety orange color).

Apparently, it's a good tractor for cultivating small acres of row crops (that's why IH developed it in the first place).

IIRC, the 140 is the next generation of the Super A with more power (21 pto hp for the 140 vs 16 for the Super A). That said, the Super A is no wimp. One guy restored one and uses it on his hay baler (check the last 2 minutes of this YouTube video)
