I always mow with the FEL off the tractor (B7610). When not mowing, the FEL is always on the tractor. Changeovers are always a 2-fer; mower going on/FEL coming off or FEL going on/mower coming off.
Make sure the FEL on on the tractor for the mower change. Like ByronBob said, use the FEL to raise the tractor's front wheels high enough to roll the mower deck either under or out-from-under the tractor. It's pretty straight-forward and fairly quick.
A few tips that might help: Put the tractor in neutral before raising to keep from dragging either the bucket edge or the rear wheels across the floor. Lower the bucket edge onto a couple of short pieces of 6x6 to leave space for the mower drag link thingy to slide under the bucket edge when the deck is rolled forward. You may have to play with bucket curl a little to make space for the deck before lowering the front wheels.
