Tractor
B7500
I just took delivery of my new B7500 last week, and I mowed for the first time on Saturday afternoon. When I received the tractor from the dealer the cutting height (60" deck) was only 1.5", which I changed to 3.5", now here is the problem.... my tires are spaced according to the mowers manual, on the widest hole. But when I raise the mower deck or go over uneven terrain the anti-scalp rollers rub the outer tread on the tires... Should the tires be spaced in closer? Does any one else have this problem? If I move the tires in farther, which would seem to correct the mower rubbing problem, does this hamper the ability to attach implements, by not allowing enough space for the 3pt pins? I am going to call the dealer in the morning, but I thought I read on this board that the tires were supposed to be spaced narrow for the mm mower to function properly. Is moving the tires in something I can do, or does it have to go back to the dealer?

I have a B7300 and same thing happened to me. . . . .on rare occasions the antiscalp roller on one side (I forget which) would just hit the tire. I spaced the wheels one notch in and solved the problem.

If you change your width. . . . be sure to re torque the bolts after an hour or two. They will work loose the firt time.

Shad when using a mid mound mower on the 7500 the tires need to be moved in to allow clearance of the deck. The only problem with this is, if you are operating on hilly land you have less stability. How the tires are mounted does not effect the use of the 3 pt hitch. After one use with the mid mount I had the dealer take back the mid mount and move the tires out as far as they would go and purchased a 3pt finishing mower ( I operate on hilly land). The dealer was great, gave me full credit for the mid mount and didn't charge for changing the tires. Good luck, Wally
