Just curious if anyone here has any knowledge about whether a 4520r (year 2020) can have a mid pto?
I doubt if I would ever put one on but the thought crossed my mind. I could not find any information on this from just browsing the internet so I thought I would ask here.
My thought was a possible front mount snowblower?
Thank in advance!

Branson didn't really invest much on Mid PTO on anything bigger than the 00 and 2610 series of tractors. There was some plans made for mid PTO on the 15 Series but I don't think they went forward with that.

Closest I've seen in the US market was just a front PTO for snowblowers that was powered via the rear PTO using two 90 degree gearboxes and a drive line all the way forward.

In Europe, there are companies specialized on front 3 pt hitch + PTO for all kinds of tractor brands. In this case, there is a gearbox with a wet clutch mounted more or less under the radiator that's powered straight from the crankshaft.

Kind of what I thought.
I see Erskine make a front mount snowblower that works off the rear pto.
Didn’t see any pricing on that but I can only imagine 😯

I imagine it may be inline with an hydraulic driven snowblower and the PTO hydraulic power pack.

Just found some prices 620 fm (60”) for about $12k and the 725 fm (79”) for about $15k.
I think I will stick with a rear mount🤪.

I know I would rather have a forward pull rear mount but I foresee too many times that might not be the way to go. We get about 12’ of snow each year near Talkeetna, AK. Last winter was a wake up call since I was losing space for my fel to push snow. We don’t usually get HUGE dumps but they do happen. Just don’t feel comfortable with the prospect that at some point I will be gone and come back to a snow debt too high to drive over.
Also there is a lot of potential for extra money to be had from a rear facing blower. Lots of cabins here that don’t get used till spring and people pay good money for end loaders to clear out their drives in the spring. Plus people who live here start losing places to push their snow and a blower can help with that.

You could always move down here to Texas and not worry about the snow. Of course the trade off is right now the temp is 103F and heat index of 119F according to my weather station. Lol
I prefer -30 in winter to +100 in summer.😉
I love snow. Why we moved up here from Iowa!
