Well, what I thought was a noise/vibration in my mid-mount mower is actually a problem with the mid-pto. With the deck connected, it makes a horrible noise and won't turn the shaft/blades on the deck. I am able to turn the blades by hand, so I know the deck isn't bound up.
Has anyone ever run into this problem before? I have a John Deere 4310 hydro. The tractor has about 405 hours on it and I have done all the service and was getting ready to do the 400 hour service.
Right now, I am hoping it is not a REALLY expensive repair. And I am really curious as to the cause of the problem, whatever it may be.
