Midwest Equipment says their implements are Catagory 1 quick hitch compatible. Does anybody know if that means all I need to do is add bushings to an implement and my I-Match will hook right up to it? Or will it be a little more involved than that. A guy about an hour away from me has a landscape rake for sale, and I don't want to drive up there only to find out it won't work with the I-Match. Figured a few of you out there have this combo and can answer this pretty easily. Appreciate any help that you can give.

Thanks,
Josh

It should. Looks like an other quick hitch I've ever seen.

Josh: You will find that the lower Cat 3 mounts will line up fine with ther JD Quick Hitch. I believe that the space between the Lowers is 26 1/4". The upper bracket is where I found my problems. The JD top hitch is fixed in position and the implement may require a bit of work to make it fit. They also sell an extension for the top hook.
Northern Tool and TSC also sell a quick hitch that has an adjustable top hook and the extension came with it.
If you have the JD I would make the drive and take it with me and see if it fits the implement or requires some adjustment to make it fit.

I know that the JD Quick Hitch conforms to the ASAE standards for quick hitches, and Jim McC of Midwest Equipment has stated many times on this forum that his designs also conform to the standard. Thus I think the probability is high that the I-Match Coupler will fit directly with Midwest Equipment Implements.

If in doubt, just take the I-Match coupler and a set of sleeves with you to examine the implement in question--no need to take the whole tractor if that is a problem.

I would think it worthwhile to drive an hour to make this check with a high probability that everything will fit fine.
