dale1995, I've got the same bug. After I cut apart the crate I mentioned I went right to welding! After having to keep moving the welder/bottle a couple of times I started fabricating a cart. I was told where I could buy one but heck I had the material so why not just build it. So, right now I've got three projects going. The cart, small trailer and the ramp I was originally going to start on. Whenever I use up this .025/L-56 wire I'll probably get some .035/L-56 at least since I'm welding on mainly .25" thick material. 2nd thought maybe I'll just go ahead and get some now and save this .025 wire for jobs using thin guage material. Anyway, I'll get some pics on here later of the projects I'm on.

I have a MillerMatic 210 and absolutely love it. It is a professional grade machine that performs flawlessly.

When I got involved in old tractor restoration for a hobby I was told to get a welder so I went shopping at the local Miller store. I could have gotten a Lincoln which is ok I am sure. I ended up with a Milermatic 185 wire feed with gas. I can spot weld very small pin holes in sheet metal or weld 1/4 or more. I have never had lessons but had a freind over to watch me and the welder came witha video and I found lots of scrap and welded it all together. I still make mistakes but last year I made a nice box blade. I would buy another one and nothing smaller. Would like to have a stick welder though. Remember if you are going to use a gas shield you will have to buy a cylinder of gas and gauges. They added to the cost. I bought a nice auto darkening hood too. I shop at a Lincoln dealer for supplies and the people there make me glad I came in unlike the box stores around here.
