I used to have two but crap happens. I backed over the last one last year. Makes the best chaiswa fuel/tool caddy god ever invented.

I never saw a real milk crate that didn't have a metal band around the top. Maybe the real ones are flimsier now.

Me either, however we get them weekly here on the rig and the ones we have on board do not have them either. That said just because they say it is the real thing means nothing. Now I have bought quite a bit of stuff from Duluth before and have never had a single complaint. Come to think of it I have one here in my shop from "National Dairy", no metal. Even got the we will castrate you if you steal this crate warning on it.

we have some in good use throughout the metal building and house. i also use the blue plastic trays that four mountain dew six packs come on. i got some from sam's when i bought the four six packs. but i've also picked some up from convenience stores, they usually have a ton stacked outside the store - the clerks don't care if i take them. i use them as sliders on my shelves, they work well and help to keep things separated.
