The tank problem has been resolved after much misinformation, much of it coming direct from Miller reps or Miller techs. All told me I would have to remove the engine and generator mainshaft to access the tank. One local Miller "authorized" tech quoted me $400.00 labor to remove the tank. Miller quoted me $475.00 for a replacement tank if needed. So, I started by removing the battery and discovered an removable plate behind the battery compartment. I removed the plate and there was the tank just begging to be slid out. The whole job took less than 10 minutes. The tank was repaired at a local welding and fabrication shop for $50.00. The whole thing about all this was the amount of incorrect information regarding this repair. You would think that Miller would know their product a little better than to lead someone astray and make it sound complicated when it was relatively easy. Thanks, to all for your valuable input.
