The 210MP came in but I had to get it without the TIG for now. Demand is apparently out of sight and they just can't keep up. The date code on some of my parts was a manufacture date of May 27th, 2015.

My initial impression without even plugging it in yet is that it is well thought out and well made. Almost every adjustment can be done without a tool and it looks very user friendly. The instructions, while they are simple, do assume you know the basics of understanding how a welder works. There is a separate card for the true novice so it is all OK.

This is just my initial impression....more later.

So how has it been going with your machine? I don't know how many different machines I have used over the years. It seems as though they all have their own personality. For stick I could care less what machine I run. For MIG I generally prefer Lincoln feeders but for TIG I have always liked Millers arc a little better. Recent years and technology changes have me liking ESAB for Stick, Miller wire and Lincoln TIG. It goes in spurts and the pants I put on that day really. I just ordered a Miller 211 autoset myself this morning. I couldn't get over the rebates they had going on right now. I think you will be happy with the Lincoln. I would like to make one recommendation for you though. Of all the wire I have used I have always come back to Lincoln. I prefer their wire, especially flux over all others. Their excaliber 7018s are also very good.

RickeyS I am close to buying myself, but my choices were either the Lincoln 210 MP or the Millermatic 211. Seriously leaning toward the Miller 211 because of reputation and choice of rebate and free spool gun.

smalltown,
You can't go wrong with the Lincoln 210 either. It is a very good machine. I am getting the 211 because of the great deal I am getting. I am also getting the $400 rebate plus gun.

I just got an e-mail this morning from a buddy who's Miller Xtreme 375 Plasma cutter quite working. He has had the plasma for 4 or 5 years, but maybe 4-hours of use. He called Miller to talk to them about it. Miller sent him a return label, and said they would fix it! Now that's customer service.:cool2:
Xtreme 375 plasma "popped" then quit...

When I was poking around the LWS that sells both the Lincoln and Miller lines I asked about customer service, and the response was they are both good machines, but Miller had much better customer service.

I know JAS has the gift of gab. He could talk an Eskimo into buying ice cream.
He talked me into painting his 1963 Lincoln SA-200 Red face welder.

Exactly what I did a year ago... and as Maxwell Smart used to say, ...and loving it!

IMO it would be pretty hard to beat Miller Tech support. Mind you they may have put me in their "ignore " list since my last batch of enquiries...
