Miller Thunderbolt repair parts...or other solutions

My Miller Thunderbolt fan went out too. No problem, just went and got a 220V muffin fan, for about $10. and made a mount for it. Looks like the one Skylark posted. It's a much better fan than the original and has now worked for years.

It's a very simple fix and there is plenty of room to adapt a new one in there.

and if you can't find a 220 V fan .... 2 smaller fans in series gives you 220V ( one in and one out for better cooling )

ever looked at the insides of bathroom ceiling fans ?

Here is the fix. A 220v muffin fan. Claims to move 110 CFM of air. I had to drill a few new holes in the bottom of the case to fit the mounting holes of the new fan. Just got long machine screws and held it off the bottom with nuts jammed together. The fan works great. There is a breeze coming through the upper louvers of the machine. It is very quiet. Total cost was 20.99 for the fan (including shipping) , a couple bucks for the hardware. 20140515_103339.jpg20140515_103347.jpg

That is pretty much what I did. You can also get a plug/cord with your new fan that plugs right in to the fan so you don't have to make something up to get ahold of the small connectors.
