I bought the Fasse diverter, my only option since no rear remote is offered on a 2520. Ordered it through my dealer and took the tractor up there and let them install. It is ready, and I'll pick it up Wednesday and check out the install. JC

Sounds like you are about to start having fun!

Are you planning to switch back and forth between the bucket and grapple on a regular basis? I'd love to hear how long it takes. I thought of going the same route you did (having pin ears welded on the grapple rather than the QA adapter). As I got the QA adapter I have not tried to switch back and forth. I was wondering how easy it is to line up the pins and how much "persuasion" is needed when changing over the bucket/grapple. Certainly using the pins will save both weight and money for the QA adapter so others will be interested in your experiences.

The Deere quick attach uses a "cuff" on the top and pin on the bottom. When hooking up my bucket or local made pallet forks, you just extend the top of loader connection (tilt forward) and get under the cuff. Then tilt back and they are centered enough for the bottom pin to slide right in. Then get off the tractor and put the "pin in the pin" (locking clip). I may have to grind just a little more on the grapple pins, so I can paint them and have them still fit. JC

I run the grapple on my ATI bucket off the rear power beyond. I have also installed a selector valve and the rear remote couplers which allows me to have an additional selectable circuit, with the option to switch what is selected by connecting other items to the couplers.

It probably took me six-eight weeks to take dlivery. I was given the same reason for the delay.Try calling Joe Millonzi,he is very customer oriented.

I tried out the grapple this week-end. Better than I dreamed. I picked up a 1250-1500 lb boulder with no problems. A little light in the a** end. I didn't have the ballast box attached. That was a mistake.A** end came up off the ground, shorts got loaded.Never ever again.

Island Tractor is a persuasive "salesmen" for their product. He convinced me anyway.

:D  I did the same thing the first day I put my grapple on my CK20. Charged into a big pile of intertwined branches and chomped down on it then lifted. The FEL is clearly strong enough to pivot up the rear wheels (even loaded). Since that day I have never used the grapple except with a 600lb Bush Hog or my backhoe in place. Even then the rear sometimes feels light if I have a big tree trunk or root ball in the grapple while moving. I've also learned to keep such loads real low to the ground while traveling and never to try to move along a slope with a heavy load up front either. Live and learn. Laundry is cheap and Tide works well:eek: .

This is what I was looking for for my 2305. Now that the PowerBeyond is available, it might just be a reality. Thanks for the post!

Mike and JC,

First thank you both for being so patient during the time of your orders. Chaos doesnt even begin to describe the shape the shop was in. Im very glad to hear the grapples were as good as you both expected! Ill make sure to save the pictures ive seen of the 48 for our customer gallery.

Ill also have to put some pictures up of the new building and the plasma cutter. Expect some exciting new stuff!

Thank you both again!

-Joe
