We have depridation permits here in SC to. I cant remember if there for a set amount or you have say a limit of 200 or 500 etc?
There usually only issued i think in the coastal plain where the deer density is double or triple that of the rest of the state. This to is a place where topography is flat allowing shots as far as your capable of and rowcrop agriculture is still a big biz.
The one thing is that the deer have to be left in the field. Unless they have changed these from when i have talked to guys i went to college with that grew up on farms or the willife professors who knew these things correctly. That always seemes like a waste if a person wanted to go through the trouble to collect all of them and then donate of give to freinds they should be allowed to. I know the reason is to prevent temptation to sell the meat but it still illegal to do so even if you donate it. Think of speeding its illegal but some still do it and some obey laws.
