Milwaukee M18 16” Chainsaw

Finally received my Milwaukee M18 Chainsaw and I am so impressed. Easily cuts as well as a medium size gas saw. I’ve used the Dewalt Flexvolt and the Milwaukee beats it hand down
I may never need a gas saw again

How many batteries or charges did it take to cut ALL of that wood? How long to fully charge a battery?

Impressive.

The newer battery/cordless tools are really good. I upgraded a couple tools this year, wound up with Dewalt as I liked their circular trim saw the best. I looked at the Dewalt top handle chainsaw but didn't care it.

Anyway, the difficult part is choosing a line of tools is, they all have one tool or another that you might prefer over another in a particular line. So different batteries charger etc. can happen, even while trying to avoid it.

Yes the new 12AH. Supposed to fit all tools. Some apparently require free upgrade. It’s higher current than existing batteries so some tools have more power

That's NICE. But as Tompet said your buying into a line.

Our second son and I heavily bought into the DeWalt 20V Max line. We were doing a lot of work together for several years and commonality was important. But then DeWalt didn't come out w/ a 40V or better chain saw for a long time, so I bought two B&D 40V 12" chain saws (each w/ battery & charger) from Target for about $110 each, one saw for each of us. If you look in my sig you'll see I have many larger 2 stoke saws.
I like the "small" saw for trimming, especially when I'm on a ladder or up in a tree.


However, as an "exercise" I did take down a tree about 13" DBH with the B&D (and hardly drained the battery) a few weeks ago.
