Well, if your "many" chainsaws are all 40cc or less, I guess so. Even then, I'm guessing it's more a matter of torque than chain speed. I don't know the speeds in ft per second, but the Milwaukee is rated at 6600 RPM. Most of my chainsaws have a peak RPM in the 13 or 14,000 range, and are running around 9600 RPM under load.
Don't get me wrong, the Milwaukee seems like an amazing electric chainsaw. If I were in the market for an electric, I'd jump on it (it helps that I already have a number of M18 tools). As it is, I'm shopping to replace my 60cc pro-level gas chainsaw at the moment, but that one will not be electric.
