Guess I'm the benefactor of a "Mindless Idiot". While walking my dogs along a country road by my house, found a book filliped open and sitting upside down in the snow bank. Book on tractors 1908-1980, cool find.It had to have fallen off a vehicle after all the sleet and snow we just had. Warmed and dried up it is now my current bathroom book

this thread reminds me of a classic joke:
It seems that a university finished work on an English-Russian-English translation program and they were demonstrating it. an official stepped up and typed in the English phrase "Out of sight, out of mind". and the Russian equivalent was typed back at him. Now he typed in the Russian and indicated that he wanted an English translation. It came back "mindless idiot" !
I've left my share of things in the shopping cart too.
I once left a plastic case of sockets on the step bumper of my truck and drove 25 miles to work through stop and go and 60 MPH traffic. An hour after I got to work, one of the other employees walked in with the case and said, "I found this on the bumper of your truck".
It is sort of like putting the cereal in the fridge and the milk in the pantry cupboard.
That's why my daughters are always calling me "genius", been wondering about that. I kept telling myself it's because of my creative work and doings. And when I saw it, I saw two words, one describing the other.Absentminded however is a sign of genius!
