Test fitted Honda V-Twin, drilled frame for motor mounting bolts, lined up pulleys, going to be a good fit.
Waiting for a gas tank, wiring harness and ignition switch to proceed.
Did loosen and grease front axle pivot, it was stiff. Also steering arms were grinding on frame so I relieved some metal on the frame and the steering arms to get a little clearance. That cleared up the steering binding. Making some progress.

You can't just get some $100 axle off craigslist??? And cut it down

I could, but I am not equipped to cut down the housing and axles and am not knowledgeable about getting the right preload, etc. no torch or lathe. I got a guy at the local speed shop that has his eye open for one for me, probably a ford truck 9" rear end that he will narrow for me.

This is a 1960 Power Pup I have been re-doing. It's second life is as a miniature Ford 8-n. The Mini-Me-8n runs again. Now with a 25HP Honda V-Twin. Mechanicals all done except for a new drive belt and clutch spring, Now just cosmetics like rear exhaust hangers, mounting the dash, installing ignition switch, throttle and choke, plus a dash to hood filler piece. The rear tires are the size of the front tires of the original 8N, 16".

Miniature Ford 8N - ready to rumble! Last problem solved, Honda GX660 hard to start. Turns out the fuel solenoid was sticking so I bypassed it. Had to add a kill switch to shut it off. Couldn't get the clutch pedal to give me enough travel so I put a hand clutch lever on it for this year. Would like to add a real clutch next year. Here are the latest pics.

That is great. How did you do the metal work for the hood and fenders?
