What is the smallest tractor that you have seen?

I saw one a long time ago that had ag tires but was as small as a riding mower... It had a belly mower and looked more like a miniature tractor than anything else...

Are there small scale tractors that look like the bigger ones?

(not talking about "pedal tractors")

There is an older Kubota (don't recall the model number but it was manufactured in the 70's, I think) that could qualify as a "mini". I saw this for sale on the side on a road in 2006.
This one had a 40" or 48" RFM rigged to the 3PH.

Not really a tractor look but it fits the "small" category :)

We used these things when I was in the mining industry. Every attachment available and tough as nails too. This one is pretty big actually (only picture I could find). Smaller ones available, comes on tracks or on wheels. Fun to put around in too :D

Egon

Those early B's are as close to a mini that I know of. I had a B6100 that I simply stepped over to get in the seat. It had turf tires and a Land Pride 48" RFM. Used it 20 years - worked out cheaper than buying a riding mower from Sears.

Along with the smallest Kubotas, there was a tiny Yanmar that used to be sold in the U.S. in the '70's. Both the Kubota and the Yanmar were amazing workers with little loaders and scraper boxes. (I think 36"). They were ideal to get into a suburban back yard and even in rental service, operated by careless amateurs, seemed to be bulletproof.

I rented a 4x4 Kubota one weekend then a 2x4 Yanmar the next weekend to cut a sloping backyard into terraces. On dry ground with all slopes, the 2x4 Yanmar worked about as well as the Kubota and was far easier to steer. I would have asked for the Yanmar if I had to continue a third week.

Here are a couple of pictures showing Yanmar 155 over in the photo section:

Looking for a small tractor?
Try looking up a Sirio 4X4 at PAZZAGLIA SPA

Click on the "Produzione" link and scroll to the right. This thing is tiny - something like 16hp. They've changed their website where registration is required to view data (good luck - it is in Italian) but you can view the tractor.

BTW, this tractor is so small, it can use walking tractor (ie BCS) attachments.

Here is a picture of my old B6000 next to my L3710. It was about as close to mini as you can get and still look and work like a tractor.

I've seen quite a few Economy Powerking tractors for sale on Ebay. Most of them have Ag tires, 3PTs and I think are powered by 1cyl 14hp Kohlers. They really do look like very small old farm tractors.
