Yes agreed and I understand HSPF and COP and cost of oil vs electricity and efficiency / BTU delivery at a given outdoor temp.
We use our 90% Eff Buderus non condensing oil boiler for primary heating when it gets really cold and for DHW too.
I did not get the pan heater in any of the units either as IMO that defeats the purpose and I have never had an issue.
