I would vote for Korean--LG, Samsung, etc. Then again my wife is Korean and I lived in Seoul and Deagu (Taegu) for almost 5 years. Almost all buildings in Korea (to include single family residences) are almost 100% masonry to include floor/rooofs. That is where these really shine--in situations where there is no place to put ductwork. Also they should be pretty energy efficient--electricity in Korea (and I'm sure in Japan as well) is very expensive and fees are on a graduated scale (the more you use the higher the rate).
