I have read in other places to spray on diesel fuel after thoroughly washing and drying, like on disks, plows, spreaders. Any comments on diesel fuel?

Diesel fuel works fine in the short term. It does evaporate eventually and is fairly easily washed off by rain. Just keep a garden sprayer full and re-apply as necessary.

Diesel fuel also works well as a release agent to spray on a backhoe bucket when working in wet clay. EPA be damned.

It works a lot like WD-40 at a far more reasonable price.

Another vote for LPS-3 .... never used Fluid Film ..... hafta give it a try.
